Submerged land of Saeftinghe
This wonderful scenic area is situated on the border between the Netherlands and Belgium and is the largest brackish water of Europe. Many breeding- and migratory birds live here. All year long you can observe many birds, varying from geese, sedge warblers in spring, to sea-eagles in winter. Seals are regularly spotted as well.
Bruges
The historic town centre of Bruges has been included on the World Heritage List of Unesco. This city offers many monumental buildings such as the Provincial Court, the Fish Market, beguinage Ten Wijngaerde, the Houses of God and the Belfort. Besides, you can visit various museums, varying from modern visual arts to the new Lace Centre.
Besides culture, you will definitely enjoy the cosy streets and shops, sit down on a terrace and enjoy a wonderful dinner in one of the many restaurants.
Hulst
The old fortified city is one of the most beautiful cities of Zeeland Flanders. It has a Burgundian character and breathes a pleasant atmosphere. This city is definitely worth a visit.
Hulst is surrounded by moats. You can make a nice walk over the old town ramparts. The Saint-Willibrordus basilica is definitely worth. The old city centre doesn’t only offer monuments, but many shops, restaurants and ice-cream parlours as well, which are open 7 days a week! On Mondays a large market is organized.
